Themes
Seaquel comes with 20 theme presets and a custom theme editor. You can set separate themes for light and dark mode — Seaquel switches automatically based on your system preference.
Built-in themes
Section titled “Built-in themes”Light themes
Section titled “Light themes”Default Light, Nord Light, Solarized Light, GitHub Light, One Light, Gruvbox Light, Catppuccin Latte, Rose Pine Dawn, Ayu Light, Everforest Light
Dark themes
Section titled “Dark themes”Default Dark, Nord Dark, Dracula, Solarized Dark, GitHub Dark, One Dark, Gruvbox Dark, Catppuccin Mocha, Rose Pine Moon, Tokyo Night
Changing your theme
Section titled “Changing your theme”- Open Settings (
Cmd+,/Ctrl+,). - Select a Light theme and a Dark theme.
- Seaquel auto-switches between them based on your system appearance setting.
Custom themes
Section titled “Custom themes”Create your own theme by modifying any of the 31 color tokens. All colors use the OKLch color space for perceptually uniform adjustments.
Color tokens include:
- Base — background, foreground, card, popover, muted
- Accent — primary, secondary, accent, destructive
- UI — border, input, ring
- Charts — 5 chart colors for data visualizations
- Sidebar — sidebar-specific background, foreground, primary, accent, border, and ring
Creating a custom theme
Section titled “Creating a custom theme”- Open Settings and scroll to Themes.
- Click Customize on any built-in theme to use it as a starting point.
- Adjust color tokens using the color picker.
- Save your custom theme.
Import and export
Section titled “Import and export”Share themes with others by exporting as JSON. Import a JSON theme file to add it to your theme list.
